This is an Elgin grade 315, 12 size, 15 jewels, made about 1927



These signs of prior repairs are common. Someone used a graver to cut divots under the balance cocks.

On another occasion someone, maybe even the same person, flattened them out again.
Sometime I see these in watches done and undone many, many times. After while you'll never get it true again.


The bow on this case is permanently fixed. It does not move. A little unusual...
