This is a William H. Ferry model, grade 55 Elgin movement, made about 1871.
It's a key wind and set, 18 size, 15 jewel watch, and one of Elgin's original designs.
Note the solid balance wheel.
The factory records call this a 7 jewel grade. Not this example though. The records are not always correct.
