William Ellery

William Ellery watches were made by what was to become the American Watch Company, and later the Waltham Watch Company. These are extremely early attempts at mass manufacture and parts interchangeability, dating to the era of the American Civil War.

William Ellery the man was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
