Elgintime Vintage Horological: Elgin Grade 44

Here's a nice Elgin grade 44, 18 size made about 1895.

This grade was made in both 15 and 17 jewel versions. The center wheel barring makes the difference. This movement is the 17 jewel version. The edge of the center jewel bezel is visible in this first image, and in others below.
