Elgin Grade 43

This is another 18 size grade, with 11 jewels.

This one was made about 1889.  It's an early stem-set design, or "keyless works" movement.

Nice blued screws all around, including matching case screws.

Jeff, What size Jewels does the Grade 43 use. I need the upper jewel for the escape wheel. What dia .11 - .14 are what I see. Also I assume that it is set with a glue in the Backplane?

I don't know the dimensions, but the part number for the upper escape jewel is 1366, if that helps.

Cement was never used, although they didn't have the types of cements we have today. I don't have an example watch handy, but I believe these are set in bezels. Something like this:
