Elgin Grade 471

Elgin did not make many clock-like products, but there are these.

This is a grade 471.  It's a huge 37 size movement, 7 jewels, this one made about 1925.

Many of the components are similar to those used in 16 size Elgin products, but the 8-day power source on this is a dual mainspring arrangement.

These were used as car clocks, and in military applications.
