What is ETA?

ETA is a Swiss watch manufacturer that’s one of the most dominant players in the luxury watch industry. Many people are surprised to learn just how common ETA movements are in watches, at just about all price-points too. Odds are good that you own, or have owed, a watch with an ETA movement inside, regardless of the brand of your watch.

Here is a very good overview of the history of ETA, what ETA manufactures, and how their products came to be "under the hood" in so many watches.
