Elgin Grade 95

The Elgin grade 95 is a 6 size, 7 jewel, watch.

This one, made about 1887, has a nice hunter case.  Note that this movement is lever-set.  The lever is shown extended near the seven.

I just bought an Elgin pocket watch yesterday, and found this blog while researching the watch.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures and helpful information! The picture of the Grade 95 is remarkably similar to the Grade 94 (s/no 2259908) that I now own. It's incredible that I can have something that's 125 years old and still working that I can wear with pride daily.
