Although this is technically a blog, the content is not generally in a time-based sequence. You can find interesting items throughout. Down the page some is an alphabetical word cloud of keywords used here. A great way to dig in is to look through those topics and click anything you find interesting. Watch Serial Numbers Application Updates

The Elgin watch database application was updated this morning, as I am trying to do every month these days. There are several new images and links, as couple data corrections, and a slight layout change. But in addition I have started to fold in code from Google's AMP project. This should improve rendering times on mobile devices, especially on pages with a lot of images. For images it allows intelligent queuing of image transfers based on multiple factors, while the page layout and text renders right away. It is only implemented on a couple pages, and only for images, in case it does anything strange, but it does seem to work as advertised.
