Glue?

My Grandfather frequently said that you never know what you'll find when you get into a watch.

In this case, I find the hairspring collet is broken, and an attempt was made to glue it together.  This couldn't have ever worked though because the balance staff pivot is broken anyway.  I doubt I can get what's left of the collect off to replace it though, due to the glue.  

I'll probably have to replace the whole hairspring.
